Conventional Stucco
What is conventional stucco?
First of all Modern Stucco is a cement plaster that is commonly used as an exterior wall covering. It maintains high durability & weather resistant qualities while preserving a classy and aesthetic appeal. While Traditional Stucco siding has been utilized for hundreds, synthetic stucco systems were introduced in the 1950s.
Conventional stucco siding is made of a mixture of Portland Cement, sand, lime, and water. A three-coat mixture is applied over a lath base or a synthetic mesh, and a final acrylic finish is applied. The benefit of the acrylic finish is that it has colour, meaning there is no painting required. It can also be maintained with pressure wash cleaning as required. Given the flexibility of the acrylic finish, it is proven to have less potential of cracking.
